Observer Notes:Four people were skiing when they triggered an avalanche below a cliff northwest of Cleopatra Terrace. At least three were buried or partially buried. All but one were able to self rescue. Lt. McDonald was buried under six feet of avalanche debris and was excavated by an entire troop of soldiers 45 minutes later but did not survive.
